LFDCS met the 100% highly-qualified teacher mandate required by the federal No Child Left Behind act for our school and district including teacher qualifications in December of 2006. Subsequent staff turnover and deletion of the HOUSSE rules for meeting highly-qualified teacher status have resulted in 2 teachers awaiting DOE testing dates to meet the requirement.
